WOMEN'S RETREAT 2001 - Encounter With Christ

Every spring the men of the church take off on a retreat, and then a month later, it's the women's turn to get away. In 2001, we went to Camp Balcones Springs in the TX Hill country - just outside of Marble Falls, TX.

Retreat Power!!!

That's right! Retreat Power returned for this year's retreat. Retreat Power is:

Games

What's a retreat without goofy games. We found hidden talents including juggling,
cheerleading, and a great Martha Stewart imitation

Big Hair

We had a contest to see who could style someone's hair into the biggest/highest hair

Camping Out

Some of us chose to camp out in tents instead of staying in cabins,
we had 6 of us in our tent, needless to say we didn't get much sleep.

Free Time

After lunch on Saturday (1st row left), we had some free time to just hang out.
There were a lot of things available, such as ropes course, horseback riding,
hiking, sleeping, not to mention crafts - making bead earrings (1st row right)

Hiking A group of us went hiking and exploring. This ended up including wading, jumping creeks, some rock climbing, and crawling under a fence or two.


	Bluebonnets The whole excursion started by looking for a bluebonnet field and it ended with new friendships and strengthened old friendships
